Boom! What up, definitely fell off for a little bit but found some time to drop a line tonight. Sooo much stuff has happened, wondering where I should even attempt to begin....
I'm still rocking out at the bachelor pad in Warren, cohesion is at an all time high. We've continued to pick up more friends in our crew and things are similar to what is was like in college haha. It's crazy.....you lose touch with some of your old buddies yet find others to take their place and sub in. None the less, we kill it no matter where we go. Guys and girls combined, the personalities of the group take over and like clockwork we breathe life into every event we partake in. It's ridiculous.
This whole last year has been amazing. I've been fortunate to do so many trips whenever, wherever. We hit Boyne in December for a ski trip and ugly sweater party at the bars, went to Cancun for "vacation" (haha reeeeediculous), hit up St. Joe for guys weekend at Simon's place (again maybe even more reeeediculous?), went out to visit Puz in Denver with Jeremy, went camping and took the boat up to Elk Lake State Park and did the chain of lakes to Torch Lake with my bro's, my gf Lauren, Lara and her baby, towed the boat over to Lake St. Clair for raft off with my dad and a bunch of friends, and have had the boat available to take out whenever I wanted for boating/fishing. Guess I can't complain about that part of my life. Oh yea, also had Tracey down for his 21st bday. We had to fly him in from Oklahoma or wherever the hell his friends sister lived at where he was staying. She was being a bitch so he peaced out didn't drive home with her. Haha classic, there was more to this story but he did the right thing. We had a blast. I can't believe I can actually legally go to the bar with both of my brothers now.....kinda weird but also very cool. I had let Tracey borrow a belt of mine and a shirt, of which by the time the night was over, the belt was broken and puke was all over my shirt and couch......absolutely disgusting. Oh well, he claims he had a great birthday so mission accomplished. Dad also just got him a new car so now he has something decent to drive. He had been outta commission after totaling the other one, so hopefully he takes better care of it this time.
MBA has been on my mind.....well a lot of things have been on my mind. I am living through one of the worst depressions of our times. Unemployment I believe is the highest in Michigan and NOBODY is hiring for shit. I'm been working my ass off trying to network, find leads, but it has been slower than 696 on the way to work in the morning(pretty bad). How does one get ahead right now??? My company continues to lose people because they aren't taking care of what they have currently. I mean come on, we haven't had a raise in 3 years!!! WTF is that?!!!!! Negativity breeds among us, and everyday I pray for a proper exit from my company that could give me fresh start elsewhere. Tonight I actually started down that path and researched MBA's from MSU and UofM(yea i know...). Looks like I may have to get down to studying for the GMAT if I'm gonna get in. The hardest part is finding motivation to open the books and focus.....it's so easy to put it off, but like I said, the wheels are spinning at work and I continue to go nowhere.
I also continue to feel bad for Tian. I wish the kid could get a job and get his life going. He just turned 26 years old, and yet he still hasn't had a full time job with benefits yet. He's back to working at Whitecaps to make some money, and has been living at the old house. I'm sure he hates it. You want to move forward with your life, not reverse. I continue to try and give him positive reinforcement and motivate him but I know he's struggling......hang in there man.
Anyways, not quite sure what I'm gonna do this weekend yet. I had wanted to go white water rafting in West Virginia but now I might end up going up north to visit since nobody wanted to come with me.
I'm gonna try and make G log more of a priority from now on. There's to much stuff going on that needs to be documented on a more regular basis.
